Hey everyone. This is Pastor Frank (Pastor of Savior Community Church and Director of the English Program/Professor at AGBI). Welcome to our new website and blog!
We have two exciting changes to talk about that will be implemented at the AGBI in the Fall semester that I think will be great for everyone.
First, classes will now be held on Monday evenings, from 7:00-10:00 PM!
Your pastors will be relieved that your education will no longer conflict with your involvement in midweek ministries! We are praying that this will bring greater involvement from churches currently involved, and help us get connected with even more churches. This will also enable many more Pastors to participate in teaching!
Second, we have made major changes to our curriculum which will impact students from every class!
Just a few examples: First year students will now have a dedicated “Romans” class in addition to the other Epistles classes we already offer. We will add 2 more Bible Doctrines classes to the 2nd and 3rd year program totaling 4 Bible Doctrine courses! Bible Doctrine 1, for example, will now focus only on the Doctrine of Scripture and the Doctrine of God allowing twice as much detail as before. Other classes have been dropped or absorbed into new ones. We will no longer have a class devoted entirely to Dispensationalism, but rather cover that in Bible Doctrines 4, which will focus on Eschatology in general. More to come!
Our goal in all of this is to provide the highest quality ministry education possible for our students. Here are a few things you can be praying for as we prepare for September.
- Teachers: We need a few more to cover all of the courses scheduled as well as to diversify the classroom experience of our students. Pray that God would open the hearts of local AG pastors to get involved and enjoy the blessings of AGBI with us!
- Pastor Frank: I am taking on a greater leadership role in the institute and that means a great deal more work. In addition I am actually going to be teaching several new courses! Pray that God help me to get it all done in time!
- Promotions and Enrollment: We will be sending out teams to promote the institute at a number a local churches in August. Pray for open doors and open hearts.
